Radio are mainly those when turned in one can listen to sounds produced from invisible waves, traveling through space at a speed of light. Radios are mainly used to bring information and entertainment into homes. Radio waves carry many different kinds of information, including television pictures and sounds and the signals sent by mobiles, telephones. Even smaller radio sets known as walkie-talkies are used by the contractors on large building sites. Marconi began experimenting with radio waves in his parents’ attic while he was a teenager in Italy. By 1901 he sent the first radio signal across the Atlantic Ocean, using Morse code.
