Dancing is the one of the oldest art forms. The first Dance may have been evolved from spontaneous stamping steps. These steps were later given rhythms and shapes. When people move in time to music they are dancing. Different dances have developed in all over the world and are performed for different seasons. The dances are often performed in traditional costumes and many of them involve dances forming simple patterns such as lines and circles. Early people found that rhythmic movements and has a strong effect on minds and felt that dancing has a magical powers add to it, and they began to dance to ward off evil spirits, heal people and to ensure good crops. The ancient Egyptians were the first people known to use dancing.
